In this sequel, SPOILER ALERT if you haven't seen the first film by the way, sees Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and his fellow Gladers, after having escaped the maze, finding themselves in a mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD from which they also have to escape and they're determined to team up with the resistance fighters beyond the desolate landscape known as the Scorch. With a big huge movie like that, you don’t expect to have it feel like such a home, like such a cozy fun environment and that’s exactly what it was.
"Awesome! We knew it was a hit, so we signed on. So far what it seems like is that Thomas is going to fall in love with Brenda since they made Teresa betray Thomas. I thought teresa was a great character to the book and didnt think the same about Brenda. But then the author ruined it for me with the whole betrayal. It may sound stupid, but what really made me dislike the book was that Teresa was one of my favorite characters - a good, strong, lead female character and her whole connection with Thomas seemed genuine. At the press junket, special thanks to 20th Century Fox for the invite, I asked Rosa how she felt coming into this project with cast and crew that already have their bond from the first film, and if she felt welcome. When Brenda was introduced in this book i thought she wouldnt be one of the main characters. To be honest, this is kind of what ruined Scorch Trials for me.
The much anticipated sequel, MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS ( check out my review of the film) arrives Septemin theaters everywhere, and ya know how it is, a sequel would introduce new characters, and in this case, one of them is Brenda, played by actress Rosa Salazar.
